Thanks for your reply. Will the podcast return to the weekly format in future or now is it more only to cover special events?

Thank you very much for listening and taking the time to provide feedback.

We did mention the layoff a few times, but you're right we didn't deal with it directly. For that I'm sorry.

I appreciate every listener and I absolutely do not take it for granted. I love doing the show, but unfortunately some things happened that made the show difficult to do.

We'll be posting an episode this week about Steve Jobs, and I explain in that episode how personally I took his death. To be honest, I just didn't feel like talking about Steve or Apple.

Starting later this month, we plan to have new shows every week, and I plan to have backup shows ready for the times Gary and I just can't put the time together to record a new episode.

Steve Jobs left behind an amazing company, and we'll continue to share our passion for it. Apple will never be the same without Steve, but their future is still very bright.

Thanks for the new show reviewing 2011.

With that said, I'm saddened that you guys never said a word about being gone since the first week of October. I checked almost everyday to see if another show is ready. It seems that you take for granted the listeners out here who enjoyed the show.

I think we are doing a disservice to Steve Jobs by not following through with the great products he started, and will long continue now after his death.

There will be a couple special episodes over the holidays, and the show will return to a weekly schedule early in the new year.

Thanks again for listening, and the patience.

Thanks very much for listening and the feedback. That is a good suggestion. I've been trying to repeat the app names and spell them out. If I fail, all the apps are listed in the show notes. The show notes are on this site, and in the meta data of the mp3. Some podcast players, let you read the notes and click on the links.

I have listened and enjoyed your podcasts. I find them very educational, informative and up-to-date. I do have one pet peeve: many times you will begin a new topic such as a new app to try, and inevitably part way through this piques my interest and I feel I would like to try it. However the title of the app (or subject) is only spoken about while using the title of 'it'. Is there any way you could repeat the name of the app/subject perhaps half way through or at the end so we can make note of it. The only option now is to listen to the program again in order to catch the name/title.
Thanks for allowing me my one beef with a very well-thought-out program. I look forward to many more - keep up the good work!

Just discovered these podcasts a few weeks ago. I find them
most beneficial in getting up to speed with Apple. Our first smartphone is a white iPhone4. It's
my wife's, I'm holding out for the iPhone5. I can't wait for what's to come in
the next few months: iCloud, iTunes
match, iOS5. I've been using iTunes (PC) and an iPod nano for podcasts/music
and Dropbox to sync and backup our 2 desktops, laptop,
and iPhone. So 'push' and 'automatic'
sound great.

Yes it's Apple hype, but it really seems to be taking the
world by storm.

You're not going crazy. It's not in the iTunes listing yet. If you were subscribed to automatic downloads in iTunes for Mac or Windows or with an iOS app ( Instacast, Downcast) it would download.

If you want to listen directly on your phone the minute show is uploaded you can search and bookmark the show with Stitcher Radio (free), or Audiopress (free). My favorite podcast listening apps are Instacast and Downcast, both are $1.99.

I don't understand this "subscribe" thing Justin. I get your episodes by clicking on Get More Episodes from the one I currently have. I also searched for your podcast and they show up minus this latest one. There's something weird going on because I'm still getting every other latest podcast from other people.

If you're subscribed in ITunes or another podcasting app you'll see the latest episode. Apple no longer lets you ping the store so the update takes awhile to show up. The new episode might take a day or two to show up in the actual store listing.

Thanks for listening and taking the time to let me know about the issue.

Sorry. We do try to keep the douchebaggery to a minimum. We are recording tomorrow night (September 19), so the episode should be available sometime Tuesday.

That's interesting. I still think there will be a significant change to the services and prices soon. And if you pay; you'll either get a refund or extra service. I couldn't find a way to renew my expired service.

I received an email that my 60 day MobileMe trial ends this Wed April 27, and I will be charged 106.xx including tax. So much for MobileMe going free. Will I accept?... Haven't decided yet. If I do, it will be an experiment since I am in the IT field and Power User, but my assessment is much like yours, it's no bargain at this price considering the competitive options.

Long time listener, first time commenter!!

To clarify the Canucks Live App, you can only view games that are carried by Rogers Sportsnet Pacific. All the other games (TSN and CBC) won't work. Since Rogers took over the Garage, the Canucks app made a huge improvement, but also has the very annoying "exclusive to Rogers customers" content. The free app lets you stream live practises free, but no games. Then they have interview videos; some are free for everyone and some just for Rogers. The paid app is for streaming the RSN games. And NO I didn't purchase it because (1) I own a PVR and (2) I hate Rogers!!!

Thanks for listening.

I have a U.S iTunes account, and yes it works for everything, including movies and TV. To make purchases you have to have a credit card with a U.S billing address. Some Canadian credit cards will you give you one-time use numbers that will work. You can also use U.S iTunes gift cards. I buy gift cards when I'm in the U.S or buy them online.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Justin,

I was curious about your comment that you only use the US iTunes Store, and wondered how you manage to do that. Does it also work for movie/tv downloads?

Thanks for another great podcast episode!

Just a mention about Gary's audio...never really noticed this in earlier episodes, but maybe in this episode he was speaking too close to the mic. Lots of loud pops on the letter p, ect. Just not that great to listen to, distracting...but the content is always interesting. Keep up the good work.

Hey guys, always enjoy the podcast, thanks, but just wanted to mention that for me, while listening to the podcast, Justin's audio dropped out a number of times (sound completely paused, kept thinking a call was coming through). You made no mention of it during the podcast so thought I'd post to let you know.

I really like the show guys. But I subscribe as a Canadian. It would be great if you could park all the Verizon and other American market stuff and give it a Canadian spin. I get all this info from other podcasts (Tii and others). I want to know about Rogers, Bell, Telus etc. and what they are doing. The Apple TV is $119 in Canada. What does that do to Apple's margin? Is that a fair price considering our dollar is around 98 cents? What impact would a CDMA phone have in Canada? I think very little now, because all carriers are on GSM. What about the different data frequency in Europe and T Mobile in the US? Does any of the new players use it? We have unlocked phones here. How many visitors are buying them and taking them home? etc. etc. I think there is lots of non-USA content to cover.
